Fishy Fishy, Kinsale

When you talk about Kinsale, the restaurant on everyone’s lips is Fishy Fishy. An amazing venue filled with wit and charm, delicious smells and laughter: my mouth was watering at the sight.

When I arrived, I was greeted by pleasant front of house staff, who directed me to my table where I had a melody of starters. I had starved myself specifically for this. I opened with 6 fresh oysters, clean, and a “Taste of the Sea” platter. All fresh, all delicious. I then had my main, a fresh, organic salmon with a garlic butter sauce and steamed vegetables. When I tell you I have never had a freshers bite of fish in my life I mean it. The thing was practically leaping off the plate at me, which you can see from the photo of my clean plate.
For dessert, I opted for a measure of Southern Comfort and a selection of homemade ice cream, a course that perfectly complimented the highs of the earlier dish without making me feel bloated. The only way that such a trip could have ended.

Busy for good reason, but the service was fast
